Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte says it is not the right time to talk about his future following their Champions League elimination.
Tottenham Hotspur only managed to draw 0-0 with AC Milan, resulting in a 0-1 aggregate defeat in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League. And it’s definitely the end of the season empty-handed. The next goal is to maintain 4th place for the CHPL ticket keep it.
When asked about his future contract with Spurs due to expire at the end of the season, Conte replied: “This is not the day to talk about my future.”“I have a contract with Tottenham and Tottenham know my thoughts. At the end of the season we will meet. And then it will decide.”
“The situation is very clear. It’s been a year and two months since I’ve been here. I always say the same things, it takes time and patience. “Now we don’t have a solid foundation to compete and win titles. We keep working hard and trying to find solutions in the transfer market to get the right team together.”
Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte gave no assurances over his own future and insisted he cannot create a “miracle” after he watched Spurs’ season spiral further out of control with a Champions League exit to AC Milan.
Milan earned the stalemate they needed to progress 1-0 on aggregate following their last-16 first-leg victory in the San Siro, with Spurs mustering only two shots on target and ending the tie with 10 men after Cristian Romero’s 77th-minute red card.
“This is not the right day to speak about my future,” Conte said after the disappointing result.
