About

Hello, I am Can Duruk. I am a Turkish software engineer who worked in iconic consumer technology companies, like Uber, Digg, Upthere, and Yahoo!. Before that, I studied Cognitive Science and Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University.

Most of my work in technology was focused on consumer facing products; I have built web apps, iOS and macOS (and Mac OS) apps, and led teams building bit of both. Quite possibly, you used my work, and not hated it.

These days, I am an independent consultant, as well  as an advisor to multiple Turkish and US companies.

I find the interplay of technology, business, and politics fascinating. I also ramble quite a bit, both here and on Twitter.
