Hello, I am Can Duruk. I worked in various capacities in tech companies such as Uber, Digg, Upthere, and Yahoo!. Before that, I studied Cognitive Science and Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University. I am Turkish, hence the funny name.
Most of my work in technology was focused on consumer facing products; I built web apps, iOS and macOS (and Mac OS) apps, and led teams building bit of both. You might have used some of my work, and with any luck, you didn’t hate it.
These days, I am an independent consultant, as well as an advisor to some Turkish and US companies. If you think I can help you, we should talk. I am currently booked, but always open to discussions.
I find the interplay of technology, business, and politics fascinating. I also ramble quite a bit, both here and on Twitter.
